Common questions
What is A Better Thing?
A gentle way to discover small things to do instead of scrolling. Spin for an idea, save what speaks to you, and make room for your own little things.
Why can I only spin three times here?
The website is a small preview. It remembers three spins in this browser. The app has its own spin allowance and optional Better Pro access. Website spins and ideas do not sync to the app.
How many free spins are included in the app?
You get 10 free spins total, shared across the main wheel and free themed wheels. There is no time limit, and the allowance does not refresh. Only a successfully displayed new result uses a spin; saving an idea or revisiting a find does not.
Your tenth result still opens normally and can be saved. Once your spins are used, you can still open My Picks and view available Past Finds. Better Pro provides unlimited spins while active. An expired subscription does not reset the free allowance.
How do I restore a purchase?
Use Restore Purchases in the app’s Better Pro purchase screen while signed in to the Apple Account used for the purchase. This restores eligible Pro access, not locally saved ideas or progress.
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?
Open Settings on your Apple device, tap your name, then Subscriptions. You can also manage Apple subscriptions here. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Will my ideas appear on another device?
The app stores ideas and progress locally. It does not provide iCloud sync or an app account. Purchase restoration does not move your personal collection between devices.
What happens if I delete the app?
Local saved ideas and progress may be lost. Please keep a separate copy of any important personal notes before deleting the app.
Can I bring back an idea I hid?
Open the Home menu and look for Hidden ideas to restore hidden items to the candidate pool.
Does Better need daily attention?
No. Better does not become hungry or disappointed while you are away. There is no daily streak to maintain.
